Job Summary

Provides patient care services along with direct treatment and follow-up as assigned by the Physical Therapist; updates the care plan in coordination with the therapist and physician, and plans with the patient/family toward adjustment; plans monthly patient re-evaluations with the therapist and coordinates weekly patient scheduling; documents patient care data accurately reflecting progress; submits visit schedules to the Scheduler; communicates with intercompany/ intracompany contacts; discusses treatment progress with the therapist, patient/family, and physician; coordinates with the Patient Care Coordinator for referrals and supervisory visits; attends patient care conferences and mandatory in-services; must complete an accredited PTA program and hold current state licensure; CPR certified; minimum of twelve hours of CE annually; willing to travel and accept assigned working conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
  • Current State licensure as a PTA
  • Strong knowledge of PT concepts and ability to treat patients under physician orders
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum of twelve hours of continuing education annually
  • Travel willingness and ability to work as assigned
