Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and rehabilitation needs, adjusting assessments based on progress. Develop tailored treatment plans incorporating exercise programs, hands-on interventions, and advanced therapeutic technologies to enhance recovery. Utilize evidence-based practices to perform treatments aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, and increasing mobility. Document patient progress rigorously, tracking treatments, responses, and outcomes to ensure effective communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams. Advise and fit patients with assistive devices to facilitate self-care and mobility. Provide education and training to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals regarding therapeutic modalities. This full-time role in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, serves a diverse population recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually with a sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Currently licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competence in word processing and electronic documentation
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing patient needs
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Experience in home care settings
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
