Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions in home care environments. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to specific needs, implementing therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercises, and specialized equipment to manage pain and increase mobility. Regularly document patient progress and adapt care plans as needed while educating families on rehabilitation exercises and assistive device usage. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address recovery barriers and stay informed through continuing education. Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- valid state license in Physical Therapy
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic proficiency in word processing and computer skills
- flexibility and adaptability in adjusting treatment plans to meet patients' changing needs
Desired Qualifications
- two years of experience in a physical therapy setting
- Experience specifically with home health care or outpatient orthopedic therapy
