Job Summary
HOME CARE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (OT) provides patient care services with direct treatment and follow-up, evaluates patients new to service, develops a plan of care based on assessment findings, establishes measurable goals, documents progress, supervises COTA’s and coordinates with the Patient Care Coordinator and other professionals, discusses reimbursement policies with patients/families, coordinates referrals, provides in-service education and orientation for new staff, and may require travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited school of occupational therapy
- successful completion of the National Certification Exam
- current licensure from the state where therapy will be provided
- CPR certification
- minimum of twelve hours of continuing education annually
- accept travel and working conditions as assigned
