Job Summary
Provide hands-on resident care, including assessments, vital signs monitoring, and administration of medications and treatments. Deliver accurate verbal and written reports while responding rapidly to emergency situations. Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility under the Resident Care Plan. Mentor team members through in-service training and education programs. Interact with physicians, pharmacists, and medical personnel as needed. Maintain timely documentation to ensure quality care delivery. This active role requires frequent standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and long hours including nights and weekends. No regular travel is expected, though occasional trips may occur for training or emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing
- Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards
- Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Four-year college or university degree
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar healthcare position
- This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs
- This position will be required to push up to 250 pounds independently
- This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work
- Occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions
