The Homemaker helps clients live safely at home with non-licensed support, including housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping/errands, transportation to stores, organizing groceries, organizing clothing, and providing emotional support. Responsibilities include visiting clients as scheduled, reporting health changes to supervisors, following policies, attending mandatory in-services, and performing other tasks within the employee’s abilities. Requires excellent communication and people skills, reliability, positive and compassionate attitude, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; CPR certification and a high school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license. Care is centered on client safety and comfort, with documentation and coordination as needed.
