Job Summary
Provide quality, supportive, compassionate care to assigned clients in their place of residence across Pierce County. Deliver services according to individualized care plans, including assisting with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Perform delegated nursing tasks such as vital signs, medication assistance, and wound care under Registered Nurse supervision. Complete all documentation on the same day services are provided while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Maintain client confidentiality and promote safety, dignity, and independence. Work flexible day or night shifts as scheduled, ensuring punctuality and effective time management.
Required Qualifications
- Washington State Home Care Aide (HCA) certification or active HCA training status within the required timeframe
- current Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Food Handlers permit
- willing to obtain Food Handlers permit
- Ability to pass background check
- meet state licensing requirements
- Ability to pass drug testing
- Reliable transportation
- valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in home care, home health, or senior living
- Experience with dementia or chronic conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
