Job Summary
Personal Care Attendant-Caregivers provide non-medical in-home and community-based assistance to clients who cannot perform activities of daily living. Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, toileting/incontinence care, medication reminders for clients who self-administer, housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, laundry, transportation, shopping for personal care items, and companionship. Maintain care with a respectful, client-centered approach in accordance with agency policies, industry standards, and state regulations. Reliability and professionalism are essential; caregiving experience is highly preferred. Flexible schedule and part-time hours are available. Mileage reimbursement is provided for select cases where driving is required by the client’s care plan.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents
- Onboarding: Clearance Verified on the Home Care Aide Registry
- Current TB certificate
- Registered with state of CA and active HCA number
- Completed “Criminal Record Statement” (LIC 508)
- Complete “Personnel Record” (LIC 501)
- Complete “Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders” (SOC 341A)
- Minimum of five (5) hours entry-level orientation training
