Job Summary
Provide non-medical in-home care following each client’s care plan, including personal care tasks (toileting, bathing, dressing), transfers, ambulation, medication reminders, and supervision; perform household management duties (housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation), escort/transport to appointments, and assist with daily living activities; document care activities in Matrixcare EVV and ensure client signatures; participate in required training to obtain and maintain DSHS HCA certification; must maintain health requirements (TB test, immunizations) and have a valid WA driver’s license for client transportation; bilingual in Spanish is preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred; minimum one year of household-management experience or similar caregiving experience; applicants must be able to work in clients’ homes in Seattle, WA area and adhere to Sea Mar policies and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in household management (paid or unpaid)
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures
- Verbal and written English communication skills; bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Must pass Department of Social & Health Services background check
- Must obtain DSHS HCA certification within 200 calendar days
- Must have/maintain valid Washington State driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and clean driving record for transport
- TB test and other health screenings as required
- COVID-19 vaccinations and booster evidence required
- 60+ hours of training (Basic Training) and competency skills testing
- Ability to use Matrixcare mobile app and EVV program
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Able to perform physical tasks (lift up to 50 pounds occasionally)
- Experience with elderly or adults needing care preferred
