Job Summary
Home Care Aide (Part-time) provides compassionate, client-centered assistance in clients' homes, including activities of daily living, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and adherence to individualized care plans. Requires no prior home care experience, comprehensive on-the-job training, valid PA driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to complete screenings and orientation. Responsibilities include bathing/dressing/grooming assistance, mobility transfers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, documenting care activities, and reporting changes to the supervisor. Strong emphasis on dignity, confidentiality, safety, infection prevention, effective communication, dependability, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum 10th grade education
- Valid PA drivers license
- Willing and able to pass drug/alcohol screening and complete physical
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written/verbal instructions
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, dependability, and commitment to quality care
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional boundaries
- Reliable transportation to travel to client locations
- Pre-employment screenings including criminal background checks, physical examination, and drug screening
