Job Summary
Provide hands-on personal care under RN supervision, observing and reporting patient condition, and documenting care performed. Offer assistance with dressing/undressing, toileting, maintaining cleanliness of living area, and running errands. Plan and prepare nutritious meals; assist in ambulation and prescribed exercises; perform range of motion and other simple procedures as ordered; support self-administration of medications with reminders. Also assist with laundry and ensure patient safety by using equipment properly, while adhering to care procedures and documentation standards. The role may include varying shifts and requires empathy, reliability, and basic caregiving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Meets the training requirements and successfully completes a training and competency evaluation program
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- Valid Driver's License preferred
- Bilingual a plus, but not preferred
