Job Summary
Deliver in-home care to Bay Aging clients, providing personal care, health and safety monitoring, and light housekeeping. Teach and coach new Personal Care Aides in the field. Perform administrative tasks to support a full-time weekly schedule under the RN Supervisor. Follow the RN-developed Care Plan and assist with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, eating), Special maintenance (vital checks, medication assistance, supervised care), and Independent Activities of Daily Living (meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, appointments). Run errands locally, monitor home safety, document services daily, and report changes to the RN Supervisor. Provide on-the-job training to new PCAs. Office duties (up to 5%) as directed. Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality. Must be 18+, hold CNA or Virginia CNA licensure (or state-certified nursing education program completion), provide vaccination/TB screening, and be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Regular night, weekend, and holiday work is required. The role is non-exempt (FLSA) and emphasizes equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must hold a certificate of completion for a state-approved education program that includes nursing principles and supervised clinical work curriculum or maintains a CNA licensure
- Must provide proof of current PPD vaccination or complete a Tuberculosis screening
- Licensed CNA certification or Virginia CNA licensure
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Speak, read, and write English
