Job Summary
Provide personal and companionship care in the client's home, including assistance with ADLs (bathing, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, toileting, meal planning, meal preparation, feeding), light housekeeping, transportation to appointments and activities, and delivering compassionate, client-focused care following the Plan of Care. Engage clients in meaningful conversations, maintain safety and confidentiality, document daily tasks and report changes in the client’s condition to supervisors. Requires 1 year of caregiving experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, scrubs, ability to lift 50 pounds, background checks, TB screening, and English proficiency. Flexible, part-time schedules offered with opportunities for continued growth and professional development within a family-owned, veteran-owned home care agency.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience as a Caregiver/CNA/PCA/DSP required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Licensed driver with insurance and reliable transportation
- Scrubs required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Live Scan Background Check
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Empathy, compassion and kindness for the client
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Two Caregiving references if possible otherwise two work references
