Job Summary
Deliver in-home care services to Bay Aging clients and help individuals live safely in the community. Provide personal care and health-safety monitoring, assist with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, eating, ambulation), support with IADLs (meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, accompany to appointments), and assist with medications and vital monitoring as directed by the RN Supervisor. Supervise and coach new Personal Care Aides in the field. Perform occasional office administrative tasks (up to 5%), document services and report changes in client condition to the RN Supervisor. Must follow the individual Care Plan, complete at least 12 hours of formal training annually, and maintain HIPAA-compliant practices. Requires CNA licensure, ability to lift up to 25 lbs, CPR certification, 18+ years old, and ability to communicate effectively with clients and families; willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- CNA license issued by the Virginia Board of Nursing
- Must be 18 years of age
- CPR certification
- Tuberculosis screening or PPD test
- Proof of vaccination or TB screening
- English proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- HIPAA knowledge
- Dementia/Alzheimer's care experience preferred
- In-home care experience preferred
- Ability to perform ADLs and IADLs
- 12 hours of formal training annually
- CPR certification
