Job Summary

Conduct three to four home visits monthly for 90-minute sessions, implementing evidence-based curricula to support children's cognitive, social-emotional, and language development. Collaborate with families to design individualized learning plans and facilitate bi-weekly group socialization classes. Maintain accurate educational records, document child observations and screenings, and administer developmental assessments at three points annually. Educate caregivers on positive parenting practices and coordinate with community partners to enhance family engagement.

  • Federal Head Start requirements
  • New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Article 47 regulations
  • Universal Preschool Guidelines
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associate's degree
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's degree
  • Two years' experience working with infants and toddlers
  • Two years' experience working with children with special needs
  • Active Mental Health First Aid Certificate
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or French
  • Dedicated, excited, and passionate about teaching and learning with young children and their caregivers
  • Effective written and communication skills
  • Professional approach with effective communication skills
  • Reflective on own teaching practices
  • Willing to develop new skills and increase capacity
