Job Summary
Direct physical therapy treatment for orthopedic patients, focusing on pain relief, muscle function improvement, and disability prevention. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests and assess home environments to recommend modifications. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure accurate and safe implementation of therapy plans. Provide hands-on services, educate families on exercise routines and therapeutic devices, and prepare clinical documentation including progress notes and discharge summaries. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to revise care plans based on patient progress. Maintain open communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Travel to clients' homes throughout Cypress, Florida in a full-time capacity.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution
- A current PT license in good standing in the state of Florida
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Automobile insurance
- A creative mindset
- The ability to adapt therapy plans based on patient progress and challenges
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in acute care or home care settings
- Experience working with orthopedic patients specifically
