Job Summary
Home-Based Caseworkers are responsible for providing strength-based, family-centered services directly in clients’ homes, with a focus on safety, stability, and empowerment. Key responsibilities include safety planning, family preservation, reunification services, documentation of meetings, and collaboration with families and service providers. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, a minimum of 1 year experience in child welfare or case management, and strong organizational and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in social work, psychology, or a related human services field
- At least 1 year of experience in child welfare, case management, or family services preferred
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass criminal, BMV background checks, including FBI fingerprinting, CPS, and state background
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent time management and documentation skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Previous DCS provider experience
- Familiarity with Indiana’s child welfare system
