Job Summary
Provide creative support and direct care to adults with developmental disabilities and autism in home environments, utilizing approved interventions for crisis management, emotional support, and positive reinforcement. Assist individuals in maintaining independence by teaching daily living skills, performing household tasks, and ensuring safety during community outings. Maintain accurate case notes, engage in supervision and professional development, and transport individuals using a personal vehicle with a valid license. This part-time role in Newtown Square offers a starting hourly rate of $17, with benefits including paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k match.
Required Qualifications
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Have reliable access to a personal vehicle
- Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with Access Services' Motor Vehicle Policy
- Be willing and able to drive as part of regular job duties
- Successfully pass all motor vehicle record checks
- Be willing to transport individuals in their personal vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of direct care experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred
