Job Summary
Aid program clients daily by providing hands-on instruction to implement Individual Support Plans and conduct recreational and social activities in the home and community. Respond appropriately to emergency situations to ensure the health and safety of clients while assisting individuals weighing up to 150 pounds. Participate in regular staff training to develop necessary skills and adhere to all federal, state, and agency policies regarding confidentiality and ethics. Obtain required criminal history and child abuse clearances, as well as pass drug testing, to maintain eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health care programs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to receive, understand, and communicate information with effectiveness, and follow instructions
- Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police and Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and FBI Fingerprint Clearances
- Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal health care program
- Compliance with pre-employment and routine drug testing
- Ability to move, assist and/or transfer individuals weighing up to 150 pounds
