Job Summary
Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles while maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Ensure food is prepared with care, adhering to company recipes and supporting dietary department requirements. Manage station setup, sanitation, and proper labeling of food products. Work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Requires high school diploma, knowledge of food handling procedures, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role within a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
- Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Wear Angry Chickz uniform as well as non-slip shoes required by safety department
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Able to speak clearly and comprehend directions in English
- Able to read English
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
- Ability to read/speak Spanish is extremely helpful but not mandatory
