Job Summary

Locate, mark, and cut holes in fiberglass hulls, decks, and components using drills, hole saws, grinders, and routers per blueprints and templates. Perform rough trimming and finish grinding to ensure proper fit and smooth edges before assembly. Inspect cut openings for size, placement, and quality, correcting defects as needed while operating equipment safely with required PPE. Transport molds, materials, and finished parts using forklifts or tugger vehicles within the facility. Maintain tools and work areas to support production efficiency. Schedule includes nights, overtime, and early shifts as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to safely operate hand‐held cutting and drilling tools, including drills, hole saws, grinders, and related equipment used to cut fiberglass components
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, measurements, templates, and basic blueprints to locate and cut holes accurately
  • Ability to visually inspect cut openings for size, placement, and quality and make minor corrections as needed
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, face shields, gloves, and eye protection, for extended periods while cutting fiberglass
  • Ability to work scheduled hours, including overtime, as required to meet production demands
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment across multiple departments

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fiberglass cutting, drilling, trimming, or grinding in a boat or composite manufacturing environment
  • Experience using hole saws, diamond blades, grinders, or routers on fiberglass components
  • Familiarity with marine manufacturing processes and component installation requirements
  • Experience working in a team‐based, production manufacturing environment with quality and productivity standards
  • Prior experience reading shop drawings or templates for component placement
