Hoist Service Technician

Job Summary
The Hoist Service Technician is responsible for ensuring safety and reliability of elevators and other equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and responding to emergency service calls. Key responsibilities include reporting data for part recommendations, maintaining excellent customer relations through communication and follow-ups, performing annual testing, using diagnostic tools, and maintaining vehicles and tools. The technician must have a high school diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Travel may be required up to 40% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and parts lists
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to follow all safety procedures
- Must provide hand tools
- Ability to work well on a team
Desired Qualifications
- State and National licensing and certifications
- Experience in repair and service of elevators, cranes, or other electro-mechanical equipment
- Experience and/or knowledge of electrical, mechanical and PLC controls
