Job Summary
Hoist-Millwright responsible for maintenance and repair of hoist plants and related equipment at Red Lake Madsen Mine. Key duties include reading blueprints and process specifications; performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; installing or overhauling machinery; contributing to safety improvements; performing tasks across mill and future crushing circuits (including laser alignment, bearing assemblies, lubrication, and contamination control); complying with site safety guidelines; participating in maintenance shutdowns; and maintaining proper documentation. Requires completion of Mill Common Core modules (asset) and Mine hoist experience, with a Red Seal millwright certification, a valid G license, and strong commitment to safety and teamwork. The role operates on a 14-on/14-off rotation with day and night shifts, and offers benefits including travel allowance, employer-paid health/dental, RRSP matching, and an emphasis on safety and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Journeyperson-Millwright (Red Seal)
- Valid G or equivalent Driver's License
- Mill Common Core training (U/G common core) - required or asset
- Minimum of three (3) years experience maintaining mine hoist
- Mine hoist record book training
- Knowledge of mine regulations pertaining to mine hoist plant
- Experience in ore processing environment (crushing, grinding, gravity concentration, dewatering, leach/CIP, stripping, conveying) - asset
