Job Summary
Volunteer at Hōhepa roles include: (1) supporting a LEAP Coordinator with an activity group; (2) supporting someone 1-1 at LEAP or in their home; (3) taking a person we support out in the community to do an activity of their choice. Volunteers should be energetic, empathetic, able to read situations, problem solve, apply boundaries or offer space, and work closely with staff to create a supportive team environment. Hours are rostered and depend on the role and the person supported; long-term commitment (minimum 6 months) is requested. The role welcomes volunteers from diverse backgrounds and emphasizes Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, with no health/wellbeing qualifications required.
