Job Summary
Hockey Program Lead responsible for all hockey-related activities including leagues, events, Learn-to-Play, camps/clinics, and teams; supervises hockey instructors and scorekeepers; ensures a first-class programming experience for participants, coaches, officials, and spectators across offerings; leads training and scheduling of coaches, manages registration processes, recruits players/teams, coordinates ice time with Skate School Lead, maintains a clean and safe environment, and serves as MOD as necessary. Requires USA Hockey Certified Coach, 3+ years in hockey, programming setup experience, proficiency with recreation/facility management software, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays. CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- USA Hockey Certified Coach required
- Must have experience in programming setup
- Must have knowledge of recreational/facility management software programs
- 3+ years in the hockey industry required
- Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Must be a team player
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours)
- Must possess current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or must be willing to obtain them within 90 days of hire
