Job Summary
Conduct custodial and janitorial duties in common areas, buildings, and surrounding property, including vacuuming carpets, power washing surfaces, and wiping down interior features. Manage trash throughout the residential property by cleaning receptacles and ensuring proper separation of recycling, landfill, and compost before pickup. Perform small repairs such as painting projects, door and window fixes, lighting upkeep, and carpentry. Assist with landscape projects like planting, pruning, and weed control, and respond to emergency projects following loss events or plumbing problems. Report to the Maintenance Supervisor for daily assignments and work Saturday through Wednesday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 AM with rotating on-call service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of one year related job experience
- Good communication skills
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
- Basic knowledge of and use of tools and equipment in: Custodial/Janitorial
- Basic knowledge of and use of tools and equipment in: Trash management
- Basic knowledge of and use of tools and equipment in: Concrete surface cleaning
- Basic knowledge of and use of tools and equipment in: Light carpentry
- Basic knowledge of and use of tools and equipment in: Landscape
- Basic knowledge of and use of tools and equipment in: General labor
- Excellent communication skills
- Personal etiquette
- Politeness
- Saturday through Wednesday; 5:00 AM - 1:30 AM
- Occasional overtime work required when emergency situations arise
- Rotating 'On-Call' service as required
