Job Summary
Conduct independent risk assessments for complex residential properties, evaluating conditions across regions, construction types, and environmental factors to determine replacement costs and loss probability. Analyze findings to recommend loss prevention strategies, prioritizing actions based on risk impact and interfacing directly with members to communicate results and potential implications. Operate autonomously in the field to assess unique site conditions, partnering with underwriting stakeholders to support risk selection and business decisions. This role serves as a trusted brand representative, building credibility through knowledgeable engagement while driving smart insurance solutions for financially successful families.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Risk Manager at an insurance carrier, or in a related insurance role with exposure to property risk assessment and broader risk management practices
- 5+ years of experience in high-value home construction, skilled trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC), home inspection, appraisal, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment and discretion in complex situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required – relevant field experience is highly valued
