Job Summary
Uwill Counselor for College Students — provide teletherapy to students at partner institutions via video, phone, or chat. Manage an ongoing caseload from initial session to graduation, conduct sessions, and apply evidence-based practices with SMART goals. Deliver culturally competent care to a diverse student base (including first-generation, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ students, veterans, and athletes). Conduct risk assessments, complete session notes within required timeframes, and respond to student messages promptly. Requires bilingual proficiency in Hmong, an independent Wisconsin license to practice mental health therapy, a Master’s degree, 2 years of telehealth experience, professional liability insurance, HIPAA-compliant setup, and ability to conduct sessions via Zoom. This is a 1099 independent contractor, part-time, with flexible scheduling and remote-work options across the United States, primarily serving Wisconsin-based students but open to other licensed states per program expansions.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in Hmong
- Independent license to practice mental health therapy in Wisconsin (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT or PsyD)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- 2 years of experience providing therapy in a telehealth setting using a variety of modalities
- Professional liability insurance
- HIPAA compliant professional and secure location to perform sessions
- Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or device with camera and microphone
