Job Summary
Propose and develop design concepts for new infotainment projects and existing system improvements, covering the Instrument Cluster, Head Unit, HUD, physical controls, and multimodal feedback. Analyze user behavior and pain points in real-world driving contexts to define user-centric interaction models. Research emerging automotive technologies like ADAS and electrification to shape future-ready UI/UX strategies. Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to communicate concepts to stakeholders. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, researchers, product owners, and engineers to translate UX ideas into practical designs. Participate in usability testing, expert reviews, and in-vehicle validation to assess and iterate proposals. Benchmark competitor systems to identify best practices and differentiation opportunities. Produce structured UX documentation to support development and validation teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Design, or related fields
- At least 7 years of experience working in UX design
- Minimum of 3 years in a UX Lead role
- Hands-on involvement in both new feature ideation and iteration of existing systems
- Ability to translate business goals, user problems, and stakeholder needs into clear UX strategies and experience concepts
- Proficiency in Information architecture design
- Proficiency in Building user flows, behavior flows, and scenario-based interaction logic
- Proficiency in Creating state diagrams and activity diagrams to model system behavior and exceptions
- Proficiency in Designing wireframes and interactive prototypes
- Skill in user research methods and experience validation, including Usability testing, A/B testing, eye-tracking, driver distraction testing, and simulated/real driving scenarios
- Ability to apply UX heuristics and conduct expert reviews
- Ability to define and manage UX design patterns for standard interaction behaviors
- Ability to define and track UX performance indicators and propose data-driven design improvements
- Ability to manage UX change requests systematically
- Ability to coordinate with product, engineering, and QA teams to align UX changes with development milestones
- Ability to track and control out-of-scope design changes
- Ability to participate in roadmap planning by identifying long-term UX opportunities
- Ability to prioritize features and recommend trade-offs based on cost-benefit analysis, user value, technical constraints, and timing
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Protopie
- Familiarity with requirement and task management tools such as Jira, CodeBeamer, and Microsoft Project
- Capability to create and maintain clear UX documentation, including flows, wireframes, design rationales, and implementation notes
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Comfort conducting design reviews, leading walkthroughs, and facilitating cross-team discussions
- Ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iteration reviews
