Job Summary
HLTA – Year Lead in an Autism Resource Base leading a designated ARB year group. Lead support and provision, build strong relationships with students, families and staff, monitor wellbeing, engagement, attendance and progress, deliver targeted interventions and personalised support programmes, and help students develop independence, self-regulation and social communication skills. Work with teaching staff to adapt learning and remove barriers to achievement; contribute to EHCP and annual reviews and transition planning; liaise with external agencies as required; support day-to-day ARB operations; promote inclusive practice and positive outcomes. 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days, maternity cover. Required Qualifications
- Holds HLTA status or substantial experience in a specialist educational setting
- Experience working with autistic children and/or those with additional needs
- Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive educational practice
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, families and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a wider team
- Commitment to helping young people achieve their full potential
