HLA Technologist - Part Time

Job Summary
Participates in ABO and donor histocompatibility testing including test management, performance, and evaluation. Determines donor’s HLA and ABO initial typing within a pre-determined turnaround time. HLA Typing using Real-Time PCR method. Routine equipment maintenance. Assists with quality control and quality assurance. Participates in transplant on-call rotation. This is a part-time position with on-call requirements and flexible hours; the Donor Network of Arizona operates 24/7 with shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- doctoral, master's or bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
- or have earned an associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
- At least five years’ experience testing in accredited Histocompatibility or Immunological lab
- Active CHS (ACHI) certification
