Job Summary
HL7 Mirth Connect Developer with FHIR expertise to design, develop, and support healthcare interoperability solutions. Requires 5+ years of experience with HL7 v2.x, Mirth Connect, and healthcare integrations, plus hands-on FHIR (R4), REST APIs, and JSON/XML. Responsible for interface development, message transformation, routing, and troubleshooting, and for EMR/EHR integrations (Epic, Cerner, Meditech). Familiarity with HL7 standards such as CCD/C-CDA, X12, and DICOM, and proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and API integration. Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) and broader healthcare interoperability knowledge are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with HL7 v2.x, Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect), and healthcare integrations
- Hands-on experience with FHIR (R4 preferred), REST APIs, and JSON/XML
- Strong knowledge of interface development, message transformation, routing, and troubleshooting
- Experience integrating with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.)
- Familiarity with HL7, CCD/C-CDA, X12, and DICOM
- Experience with SQL, JavaScript, and API integration
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Healthcare domain experience and knowledge of interoperability best practices
