Job Summary
HIV Planning Group Project Officer serves as liaison to the HPG and workgroups under the Deputy Director of HIV Prevention Partnerships, coordinating communication between NYC Health Department community organizations and HPG members; supported by arranging in-person and virtual meetings (scheduling, distribution of materials, agendas, minutes, tasks, follow-ups), and ensuring integration of workplans across workgroups. Responsibilities include coordinating member recruitment, attending community health fairs and site visits, supporting general and strategic planning meetings, maintaining contact information in Salesforce/PHPC, and coordinating a social media calendar with stakeholders. Requires strong knowledge of HIV prevention, health equity, program coordination, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and data/research tools (REDCap, Survey Alchemer, Salesforce). Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental sciences or public health (Assignment Level I)
- Doctorate in appropriate field with one year supervisory/administrative or research capacity (Assignment Level II and above) OR Master's with three years of responsible full-time research experience OR equivalent; and at least a Master’s degree with two years of the experience described above
- Two years as City Research Scientist Level I can be substituted for the experience required in 1 and 2 above
