Job Summary
Histotechnologist position on a full-time overnight shift (10p-6a) in Manhattan, NY, within a large, fully automated Anatomic Pathology lab. Responsibilities include grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling, special staining, and distribution using state-of-the-art equipment. Requires on-site presence and eligibility for NYS licensure (must obtain license within 6 months). Eligible for competitive sign-on bonus up to $12K and specialty pay differential for Histology. Education: Associate’s degree in science with approved Histology program OR Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). Licensure: NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure or equivalent Histology Technician/Technologist certification. Experience: preferred at least one year in Histology and experience with special staining. Location note: on-site and commutable to NYP. Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program OR a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department or certified as a Histology Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire
