Job Summary
Perform routine and complex histologic techniques such as enzyme histochemistry, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, and immunofluorescence on tissue samples for microscopic examination by a pathologist to diagnose disease. Act as a technical resource for the department by applying knowledge of pathology, management, education, and regulations that impact the field of histotechnology. Maintain detail-oriented multitasking and prioritization skills while adhering to medium physical exertion requirements. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree
- 30 semester hrs of biology and chemistry (must include both)
- successful completion of an accredited Histotechnology program
- one year full time acceptable experience in a histopathology laboratory within the last 5 years
