Job Summary
Responsible for processing tissue samples for histological diagnosis tasks including grossing, embedding, microtomy, and performing special stains and Immunohistochemistry slides. Candidates should have knowledge of principles and methods of Histotechnology, operate laboratory equipment, and ensure slide quality meets standards. An Associate's degree in applied sciences and relevant licensure are mandatory, along with preferred experience in histology.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in applied sciences in Histology or Medical Laboratory Technology
- NYSED Licensure required upon hire or NYS Medical Laboratory Technician Licensure required upon hire

- Previous experience as a histology technician
- Knowledge of anatomy, histology, and chemistry
