Job Summary
Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination; section embedded tissue with a microtome and mount on slides; perform immunohistochemical tests on FFPE tissue; prepare stains and reagents for special procedures; operate/manual and automated instruments; document and communicate test results; maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance; adhere to QC policies and specimen handling procedures; Labcorp offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO/FTO, tuition reimbursement, and a 3rd-shift differential. Pay range is $25.00-$40.00 per hour with night shift differential. Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Histology or High School diploma or equivalent with 1+ year histology experience
- 3 months or more histology experience (preferred)
- 3 months or more Immunohistochemistry experience (preferred)
- ASCP certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Proficiency with computers; laboratory information systems
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to pass color blindness test
- Overtime or shift flexibility (3rd shift)
