Job Summary
Histotechnician needed to process human tissue and body fluids for microscopic examination, prepare histopathological slides, section embedded tissue with a microtome, perform immunohistochemical tests on FFPE tissue, stain and mount slides, ensure accurate reporting, operate and maintain lab instruments, and adhere to QC procedures in a high-volume pathology lab in San Diego, CA. Requires an Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology and 1+ year grossing experience. Preferred: Labcorp experience; Bachelor’s degree; Histology/ASCP certifications; immunohistochemistry experience; strong attention to detail and SOP safety knowledge.
