Job Summary
Histotechnician to support the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. Perform standard and non-standard histologic procedures for diagnosis and patient care, embed tissue, section with microtome to 2–5 microns, use CoPath Plus and MHS Genesis EMR for order entry and specimen history, and manage reagents for tissue processing. Requires NAACLS-accredited training, ASCP HT certification, BLS, 1+ year experience, and U.S. citizenship. Schedule Mon-Fri, 0730-1730 at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA. Compensation up to $43.38/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a NAACLS-accredited medical laboratory technician training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- HT/Histology Certification/registration by ASCP
- Minimum of one year of histotechnician experience
- U.S. Citizenship required
