Job Summary
Histotechnologist/Histotechnician in a dermatology pathology lab in Portsmouth, NH. Responsibilities include accessioning, grossing, fixation, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining and specialized routine stains and immunohistochemistry (IHC); ensure compliance with SOPs and CLIA regulations; maintain laboratory safety and quality management; monitor and improve histology processes for quality and productivity; provide hands-on backup for histology areas; perform equipment QC and advanced procedures such as special stains and IHC quality control; Mohs and frozen sectioning if required; duties of the technical assistant when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or associate degree in a chemical or biological science or medical laboratory technology
- HTL (ASCP), HT (ASCP), CLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP) certification
