Job Summary
Histotech position performing specialized histopathological procedures and Moh’s lab duties. Responsibilities include specimen collection/triage, embedding, microtomy/cutting, staining (H&E, TBlue), coverslipping, immunohistochemistry, slide preparation, labeling, and quality control. Duties span high and non-high complexity testing including grossing, mapping, orientation verification, and preparation for permanent paraffin processing. Requires accurate specimen identification, adherence to safety policies (OSHA, universal precautions), and documentation of processes. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic CPT/ICD-10 coding, and familiarity with lab equipment and reagents is needed. Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a medical setting; no supervisory responsibilities specified.
