Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core social studies subject area (History) to support intellectual, emotional, and social growth. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines; adapt instruction for at-risk students and collaborate with other teachers to improve STAAR-related performance in the DAEP program. Manage behavior, use technology to strengthen teaching, monitor student progress, maintain records, communicate with families, and participate in professional development. Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality; supervise instructional aides and follow district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- AED certificate (for Physical Education teachers)
