Job Summary
The History Teacher is responsible for providing students with constructive learning experiences in core subjects to promote intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student learning styles, and collaborating with special education staff. The teacher will create a conducive classroom environment, manage student behavior, and establish communication with parents and the community. Professional development and compliance with district regulations are essential components of this role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- One year student teaching or approved internship
