Job Summary
The role of Historical Landscape Architect involves leading and coordinating project teams and schedules, facilitating collaborative projects with multiple disciplines and stakeholders, and contributing to the preparation of Cultural Landscape Reports and preservation planning documents. Candidates should possess a professional degree in Landscape Architecture and 8-10 years of relevant experience, particularly in landscape preservation and cultural landscape projects. Proficiency in software such as Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD is essential, along with strong organizational and communication skills. The position requires travel to various project locations.
Required Qualifications
- Professional degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution
- 8-10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, landscape preservation projects, and heritage conservation
- Demonstrated experience leading internal project teams through different project phases
- Highly organized and professional with the ability to create workplans, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and presentation skills for both internal collaboration and client relationships
- Strong working knowledge of NPS guidelines and SOI standards for the treatment of cultural landscape
- Proficiency in software including Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Revit, and Serif Affinity
- Familiarity and fluency with resilience or climate adaptation related work
