Job Summary
Histology Technician/Histotechnologist in Mayo Clinic’s Renal Biopsy Lab responsible for creating microscope slide preparations via techniques such as accessioning, specimen processing, microtomy (paraffin, frozen, plastic), and Hematoxylin and Eosin staining, with potential involvement in special stains, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemical staining, and in situ hybridization. Supports pathologists by producing slides for diagnostic/prognostic review, participates in training students and new staff, and collaborates within a diverse team to foster an inclusive work environment. Positions require completion of 2 years in the role before applying to other Mayo Clinic roles and do not sponsor visa applications. Based in Rochester, MN.
