Job Summary
The Histology Technician is responsible for performing complex testing on a variety of tissues to produce high-quality microscopic slides for diagnosing and treating diseases. Essential functions include maintaining accurate records for histology testing, verifying specimen identity, preparing solutions and reagents, and assisting pathologists in processing tissue specimens. The role requires critical thinking skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication abilities under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 2 years experience in a like position
