Job Summary
Provides day-to-day operational oversight of a specific laboratory department, ensuring the department meets budgetary targets, customer service level agreements, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include scheduling, assigning and supervising lab staff work, training new employees, coordinating competency development, and adjusting staffing schedules for business needs. Ensures timely training and compliance for staff, develops and maintains laboratory policies, and participates in budget development and monitoring. A Bachelor's degree and 2 to 5 years of relevant lab experience are required, along with CLIA qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Medical Technology/Clinical Lab Science or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
- 2 to 5 years of experience performing non-waived testing and tests of moderate to high complexity in applicable specialty area
