Job Summary
Lab Assistant in the evenings (Part-time) at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks; accepting and labeling specimens; registering and logging specimens in the LIS; processing specimens per protocol; assisting with problem resolution; maintaining safety and infection-control standards; supporting general lab operations, restocking supplies, and participating in committees/projects. Requires knowledge of medical terminology and strong computer skills; works in a collaborative environment. Education: High school diploma or GED required.
