Job Summary
Inspect and organize incoming tissue samples, perform tissue embedding using paraffin wax, and prepare tissue blocks for histology sectioning. Operate histology embedding equipment while handling biological specimens following strict QA procedures. Comprehensive training is provided for entry-level candidates, with histology experience preferred but not required. This long-term contract in Tucson, AZ, offers a rate of $25-$27/hr on W2 with medical, paid sick leave, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree
- 0–5 years of laboratory experience
- Comfortable performing repetitive laboratory tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Histology experience preferred but not required
- Clinical laboratory, phlebotomy, microbiology, or specimen processing experience is highly preferred
