Histologist - Full Time - Days

Job Summary

Prepare tissue and cytology specimens for the Histology Department under the supervision of the Laboratory Medical Director and Laboratory Director. Ensure efficient and accurate analysis of surgical specimens for Pathology review while delivering excellent patient care and customer service. Maintain ASCP certification or equivalent and hold an Associate degree or Histology Technician Training in an accredited program. Requires 1-3 years of histology/pathology laboratory experience. Full-time day shift with direct oversight from the Lead Histologist.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree, Histology Technician Training in an accredited program, or demonstrated expertise in histologic techniques
  • 1-3 years in histology/pathology laboratory
  • ASCP or equivalent
  • Knowledge and skills for preparation of surgical specimens for Pathology to view
